After a successful training in Kouoptamo, Banourain, Foumbot, Mifi and Malantouen all in West Region, SHUMAS and her partners The United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and MINSANTE, extend training to 5 communities in North West Region which include Bali, Bafut, Mbemgwi, Batibo, and Benakuma. Here, women groups, community base organization(CBO’s) and leaders have been trained to pass on this training in their various communities with objectives to improve routine and supplementary vaccination coverage through the training of women groups, community based organizations (CBOs) and community leaders on communication, vaccination calendar, causes and effects of polio and strategies to identify children lost to follow-up as well as monitoring supplementary vaccination campaigns.
