Babajou Community Benefits from SHUMAS’ Education, Health, Water Programs

The people of Babajou, in Bamboutos Division of the West region were on April 12, 2016 proud beneficiaries of classrooms, health equipment and water extension thanks to the benevolence of SHUMAS and partners.


Ecole Publique Nguekong benefitted form 3 classrooms, a toilet block with hand washing facilities, 27 benches and 3 tables.

The Ntong Integrated Health Center also benefitted from medical equipment ranging from hospital beds, fridge and many others while the Bloc-Tognia Community Water Extension Project benefitted from an 800m of pipeline and 3 stand taps.


In a highly attended ceremony presided at by the Senior Divisional Officer for Bamboutos Songa Pierre Rene and attended amongst others by the Member of Parliament for Babajou, Wa Mathurien and other administrative, religious, traditional and political authorities, the population of Babajou were unanimous that donations were very timely.

The donations were made possible thanks to SHUMAS and her age old partner Building Schools for Africa, BFSA.
